About Center Special:

Center Special is a play that uses a pick and roll technique in order to get a layup, or a short jumpshot for your forward or center. This play is good for when your team isn't doing so good and you need a good basket to get some motivation going for yourself. This play is especially effective if you have a very large center that alsp has good reflexes because he will need to react to and catch short, quick, lob passes. This is hard to find in a center, but there is a product that can help out with this. It is a lotion that improves grip for up to 2 hours, the perfect time span for a basketball game. Setup:

Center Special is set up with the main ball handler (1) with the ball at the top of the court on one side. The other guard (2) is at the same spot on the other side of the court. One of the forwards (3) is on the wing on the ball side. The other forward (4) is on the block on the opposite side. The center (5) is on the ball side elbow.

Running the Play:

To run Center Special the ball handler must pass the ball to the forward on the wing and cut through to the oppoaite corner. The center must then come over and set a screen on the forward with the ball. The forward then has to go around the outside of the screen, and the center will roll to the block for a pass. The first scoring option is for the forward to take a layup or a jumpshot, the second option is for the forward to dump it off to the center for a layup or a short jumpshot.
